Europe and the prevention of rickets

Concern is expressed about the situation in France as regards the incidence of vitamin D deficiency (0.5% of hospitalized children), and the poor vitamin D status observed in neonates and infants aged 9 months, particularly during the winter, and this is compared with the situation in the USA, Canada and other European countries.
