European integration and Finnish agricultural statistics

, : European integration and Finnish agricultural statistics. Julkaisuja Maatalouden Taloudellinen Tutkimuslaitos ( 72): 25-28

Membership of Finland in the European Union will require EU regulations on agricultural statistics to be adopted in Finland. Price information will have to be collected more often and there will be changes in the classifications. The same is true for information regarding the number of animals. Macroeconomic statistics also need some modification. The biggest task in the harmonization process will concern structure statistics and the farm bookkeeping system.

Much attention is focused today on predicting how plants will respond to anticipated changes in atmospheric composition and climate, and in particular to increases in CO-2 concentration. Here we review the long-term global fluctuations in atmosphe...

For maize, an analysis of the map locations reported to date of genes for growth, development, and stress response was carried out. These genes tend to associate into functional clusters, 10-30 cM long, distributed non-randomly along all ten chrom...

Two C4H isoforms, the 2192-by BnC4H-1 and 2108-bp BnC4H-2, were cloned from oil...
