In nursery bed trials, tomatoes were treated with carbofuran, fenamiphos diazinon, phorate or ethoprophos and aubergines were treated with fenamiphos, triazophos, carbofuran, isofenphos, Calotropis procera or Ricinus communis leaves for control of Meloidogyne javanica. Tomatoes and aubergines treated with fenamiphos at 0.6 and 0.4 g/msuperscript 2 resp. had the lowest number of root galls.
