Seedlings of 12 genotypes, derived from indigenous open-pollinated plants, were transplanted to the field during 1967-70 and evaluated for vegetative characteristics, floral biology, and nut yield and composition. Vegetative growth in terms of seedling height and girth was greatest in Badagry Tall, and resulted in earlier inflorescence initiation.
