Extreme values of soil water content for Van Genuchten's model

A method is presented to determine by extrapolation the extreme values of soil water contents for Van Genuchten's model, namely the saturated and the residual soil moisture contents. Soil water retention data of a Rhodic Kanhapludalf from Piracicaba, Brazil and for two horizons of a Plinthustalf from Mossoro, Brazil, were used.
