High yields of protoplasts were isolated from non-regenerable, homogeneous cell suspension cultures of sugarcane, compared with regenerable, heterogeneous cell suspension cultures after incubation in an enzyme composition containing Cellulase RS, Pectinase, Macerozyme and Driselase.
