First soyabean variety for the central Non-chernozem zone

The variety Mageva, bred by means of individual selection in a mutant population, was released in 1991 in the Ryazan' province of European Russia and in Mordovia. It reaches a height of 51-76 cm, with the first pods being inserted at a height of 15-16 cm, and is an early variety with resistance to drought and frosts.
