Grain sorghum BR-300 and forage sorghum BR-601 and CMS-XS-649 were grown alone, sown at 30 seeds/m with 1 m row spacing, or were intercropped with soyabeans UFV-5 sown simultaneously at 30 or 60 seeds/m between the sorghum rows. Sorghum DM production was not affected by the presence of soyabeans, but was affected by cultivar, with yields ranging from 17.4 t/ha with CSM-XS-649 to 9.8 t with BR-300.
