Fruit quality characteristics of five rabbiteye blueberry cultivars and clones

A study was conducted comparing berry quality characters of the rabbiteye blueberry (Vaccinium ashei) cultivars Brightwell, Climax and Tifblue and two advanced breeding clones, T-227 and T-286. Blueberries were harvested in 1988 and 1989 when ripe and colour of the blueberry skin was recorded as Hunter L, a and b. Hue and chroma values were computed.
