Generations, life cycles and cultural worlds

Generations, life cycles and cultural worlds

Loisir et Societe 15(2): 437-460

The article pursues the twofold objective of describing the main changes that have taken place in the cultural practices of different generations in Quebec, Canada and of analysing the changes that can be observed between these generations. Using a secondary analysis of surveys carried out in 1979 and in 1983 and the results of a 1989 survey, the analysis is focused on two generations, young people and the elderly.
