Genetic analysis

Genetic analysis

Methods in Arabidopsis research: 83-99

Current analytical strategies of genetic variation in Arabidopsis are outlined under the following topics: (1) segregation analysis; (2) allelism tests; (3) identification and naming of a new genetic locus; (4) gene mapping, including (a) trisomic analysis, (b) the detection of linkage, (c) linkage tester lines, (d) the measurement of recombination, (e) the relation between recombination frequencies and map distances, and (f) the construction of genetic maps.
