Genetic analysis of ethylene responses in Arabidopsis thaliana

Genetic analysis of ethylene responses in Arabidopsis thaliana

Symposia of the Society for Experimental Biology 45: 149-158

To elucidate the molecular basis of ethylene action in plants, A. thaliana mutants with altered response to the growth regulator were isolated, and one of them, designated etr, which showed no measurable response and had reduced ethylene binding in leaf tissue, was mapped genetically. By chromosome walking, an 18 kb genomic DNA fragment containing the mutant gene was isolated.
