Genetic analysis of growth associated with drought resistance in Scotch pine seedlings

Genetic variability of traits characteristic of drought resistance and growth were studied in half-sib and full-sib seedlings of Scots pine during 1971-78 at the Mari Polytechnical Institute. Approximately 60% of phenotypic variability in hypocotyl length of new seedlings and in height growth of year-old seedlings was due to genetic differences between plants.
