Genetic analysis of the main morphological characters of the canopy in two-rowed barley (Hordeum distichum L.)

Genetic analysis of the main morphological characters of the canopy in two-rowed barley (Hordeum distichum L.)

Acta Agriculturae Shanghai 7(2): 16-20

In half-diallel crosses of nine 2-rowed barley cultivars, genetic variation was significant in all the traits evaluated. Flag leaf width, basal angle and open angle and neck diameter were mainly controlled by additive genes, while both additive and dominant genes affected flag-leaf length and area, peduncle length and peduncle diameter; additive genes were more important than dominant ones in peduncle length.
