Genetic analysis of yield in red pepper

Savremena Poljoprivreda 39(4): 35-39

The Capsicum annuum varieties Kalifornijsko Cudo Soroksari, Novosadska Bela Babura, AL12, SK4 and PCR were crossed in a diallel pattern without reciprocals to study the inheritance of yield/plant. Additive gene effects were predominant in control of the character, which showed partial dominance. The highest yielding parent in both years of the test was the late Soroksari (230.7 and 375.8 g fruit/plant) and the lowest yielding the early PCR (129.6 and 275 g).
