For 94 Marota, 122 Moxoto, 52 Repartida, 74 Caninde, 93 SRD, 28 Anglo-Nubian and 21 Bhuj goats, body weight at 240 days averaged 10.46, 10.53, 10.06, 9.45, 11.18, 15.44 and 11.11 kg respectively, and that at 360 days 12.68, 12.0, 11.93, 11.44, 12.59, 17.55 and 18.88 kg, all differences between breeds being significant. Birth weight and body weight at 84 and 112 days were significantly higher in goats of imported than indigenous breeds, but there were no differences among the Brazilian breeds.
