Genetic architecture of protein, lysine and sugar contents in grain sorghum

Genetic architecture of protein, lysine and sugar contents in grain sorghum

Annals of Agricultural Research 13(1): 57-60

Seven cultivars were diallel crossed in both direct and reciprocal fashion and the resulting 42 F1 and parents were grown at the Sorghum Research Station in Parbhani. Data for protein, lysine and total sugar content (TSC) were computed by graphic and component analysis. Gene action for protein was based on over dominance and for lysine on partial dominance. Complete dominance for TSC was indicated by regression analysis.
