Genetic control of hordein polypeptides in kernels of spring barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) high-lysine mutant C-67-7

Genetica Polonica 34(2): 133-138

F1 and F2 hybrids were derived from reciprocal crosses of the high lysine mutant C67-7, obtained by treating grains of strain Celb4 with N-methyl-N-nitrosourea and sodium azide, and Miranda, forms with different hordein spectra. SDS-PAGE was used to analyse the main hordein fractions, hordein-1 and hordein-2, from single grains.
