Genetic differentiation of bog and dry-valley populations of Pinus sylvestris in western Siberia

Genetic differentiation of bog and dry-valley populations of Pinus sylvestris in western Siberia

Soviet Journal of Ecology 20(6): 350-354

Significant differences were found in the allele population of isoenzymes between natural phenologically isolated populations of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) growing in neighbouring dry-valley sites and sphagnum bogs in the forest-steppe margin and the central taiga of western Siberia. The differences persisted in the progeny, and were smaller in trees from the central taiga than for those from the forest-steppe margin.
