Genetic divergence in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.)



International Journal of Tropical Agriculture 11(1): 57-62



Forty-four desi and 16 kabuli genotypes were evaluated over 3 sowing dates (normal (4 November), late (15 November) and very late (5 December)) during 1981. Data recorded for days to 50% flowering and seed yield were used for meteroglyph and index score analyses. The majority of kabuli types were medium to late flowering with average yield, whereas the desi types were early flowering and average yielding.
