Genetic divergence in foxtail millet (Setaria italica B.)

Indian Journal of Genetics and Plant Breeding 52(1): 29-32

Information on genetic divergence is derived from data on 16 yield and yield-related attributes in 225 S. italica genotypes, of diverse origin, raised in Bangalore, India. Some 33 clusters, based on the Dsuperscript 2 statistic, were identified, of which 6 were solitary superior clusters. Considerable genetic diversity was noted between the genotypes.
