Genetic divergence in pea. I. A comparison over environments

D2 analysis of values for 20 characters was carried out in 49 genotypes of pea grown at Hisar, Pantnagar, Karnal and Gurgaon during the winter seasons of 1986-87 and 1987-88. The number of clusters ranged from 9 to 13 depending on the environment, with many clusters containing only one genotype. Clustering behaviour of the 49 genotypes showed that neither the number of clusters formed nor the entries included in each cluster were influenced by the place of origin.
