Genetic divergence in rape mustard

Genetic divergence in rape mustard

Indian Journal of Genetics and Plant Breeding 51(4): 465-467

Some 19 rape mustard (Brassica campestris) genotypes, collected from the Directorate of Oil Seed Research, Hyderabad, India, were grown during the winter season of 1986-87. Data were recorded on 9 characters and analysed for variance using the D2 statistic. Genotypes were grouped into 5 clusters, with cluster I comprising 13 genotypes, clusters II and III 2 each and clusters IV and V one each. Test weight, days to maturity and seed yield were the largest contributors to D2 values.
