Genetic diversity and structure of natural populations of Pinus koraiensis (Sieb. et Zucc.) in Korea

Eight natural populations of Pinus koraiensis were investigated by starch gel electrophoresis. For 23 loci from 15 enzyme systems, the percentage of polymorphic loci, the number of alleles per locus, and the observed and expected heterozygosities were 69%, 2.0, 0.20 and 0.21, respectively. Interpopulation genetic diversity was 5.9% of the total genetic diversity and level of gene flow was 3.99 migrants per generation.
