Genetic diversity in low temperature hardiness among 35 major warm-season turfgrass genotypes

Genetic diversity in low temperature hardiness among 35 major warm-season turfgrass genotypes

Progress Report Texas Agricultural Experiment Station 1992; ( 4881/4921): 56-58

A total of 35 genotypes (18 of Cynodon dactylon and C. dactylon x C. transvaalensis, 4 of Buchloe dactyloides, 3 of Eremochloa ophiuroides, 1 of Paspalum vaginatum, 5 of Stenotaphrum secundatum and 5 of Zoysia (Z. japonica, Z. matrella, Z tenuifolia and Z. japonica x Z. tenuifolia)) were grown to maturity and allowed to cold harden in the field prior to collecting turf plugs.
