Genetic diversity of monogerm sugarbeet breeding material in respect of protein markers

Electrophoresis of the storage proteins was successfully used for identification of 27 accessions of Yaltushkov origin. The breeding material fell into 3 groups, with a high, moderate and low degree of polymorphism. The varietal hybrid Yaltushkovskaya Odnosemyannaya 30 was the only form with a high degree of polymorphism, while the I5 lines analysed show relatively little polymorphism.
