Genetic effects from full-sib selection in Krug maize (Zea mays L.)

Genetic effects from full-sib selection in Krug maize (Zea mays L.)

Journal of Genetics and Breeding 48(2): 191-196

Generation means analysis was used for estimating genetic effects governing selection for grain yield, harvest index and other agronomic traits in the population Nebraska Krug full-sib grown at Lincoln in Nebraska and in Florida, USA following crossing and backcrossing during 1991-92. Six generations in an additive-dominance model were adequate for estimation of genetic effects.
