Genetic effects of corn kernel oil controlling genes in reciprocal crosses

Genetic effects of corn kernel oil controlling genes in reciprocal crosses

Acta Agriculturae Universitatis Pekinensis 17(1): 15-22

From a series of reciprocal crosses involving high and low oil-content maize inbreds and hybrids, it was concluded that the pollen parent affected grain oil, embryo oil, protein and lysine contents and embryo weight, but that the female parent had a greater effect on grain oil content, lysine content and embryo weight.
