Genetic expression of grain dormancy in a white-grain wheat cross

Genetic expression of grain dormancy in a white-grain wheat cross

Pre harvest sprouting in cereals 1992: 37-46

Pre-harvest sprouting damage causes serious economic losses especially in regions producing white-grained wheat. Selection of white wheats with high grain dormancy levels is the main breeding strategy to reduce sprouting damage. White-grained cultivars Brevor and Clark's Cream express high grain dormancy; this study assessed whether they were genetically similar for high-temperature dormancy.
