Genetic gains in Eucalyptus camaldulensis Denh. determined through provenance trials

A methodology to estimate expected genetic gains in quantitative characters was developed, based on data from 3 provenance trials established in El Tormento (Campeche), Rancho Casas Brancas (San Luis Potosi) and San Marcos, climatically different regions of Mexico. The results indicated that heritability and genetic gain values for height and trunk diameter and volume were different in each environment, with highest values obtained in Rancho Casas Brancas.
