Genetic investigations on Norway spruce clumps in the subalpine zone with the aid of isoenzyme polymorphisms

Genetic investigations on Norway spruce clumps in the subalpine zone with the aid of isoenzyme polymorphisms

Schweizerische Zeitschrift fur Forstwesen 145(5): 401-411

Isoenzyme studies were made to determine the genotype of all the individuals in 7 clumps of Norway spruce (Picea abies) at 1410 m altitude in the Bavarian Alps. This showed that 6 of the seven sets (clumps) examined were composed mainly of plants derived from branch layers from a single initial stem.
