Grain yield, harvest index and yield components of three irrigated rice cultivars

The grain yield, harvest index and yield components of 3 morphologically distinct irrigated rice cultivars (EEA 406, Bluebelle and BR-IRGA 409) were correlated in studies carried out in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, in 1986-87 in Albaqualf soils. Highest yields were obtained from BR-IRGA 409 and EEA 406 (6.82 and 6.28 t/ha, respectively). Bluebelle gave the lowest yield (5.36 t/ha), but did not differ significantly from EEA 406.
