In field experiments conducted at Nagpur, Maharashtra, on medium black soil during kharif 1986-1987, the effects were evaluated of butachlor and 2,4-D applied pre-em., post-em. and pre- + post-em. at 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5 kg/ha for the control of weeds in upland rice N-22.
