In-furrow terbufos reduces field and sweet corn (Zea mays) tolerance to nicosulfuron

In-furrow terbufos reduces field and sweet corn (Zea mays) tolerance to nicosulfuron

Weed Technology 7(4): 934-939

Field trials were conducted on sandy loam at East Lansing, Michigan, on clay loam at Waseca, Minnesota, on silt loam at Arlington, Wisconsin, and on loamy sand at Hancock, Wisconsin, in 1990 to investigate the interactions between post-em. nicosulfuron (0-140 g/ha) and terbufos at 0.06 or 0.11 g/m of row, applied in-furrow to corn Pioneer 3751 (field corn) and Jubilee (sweetcorn). Nicosulfuron + non-ionic surfactant and 28% nitrogen fertilizer was applied to both maize cultivars.
