In mutagenized populations derived from the cross 83H5 X Hicks there were significant differences for plant height, stalk height, leaf shape and resistance to Pseudomonas solanacearum. Leaf number and leaf length were unaffected and F2 variance was more than in the B1 and B2 generations.
