Influence of larval age and temperature on effectiveness of a nuclear polyhedrosis virus in soybean looper, Pseudoplusia includens (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) on soybean

Laboratory studies were conducted using soyabean leaflets that had been sprayed with nuclear polyhedrosis virus at a rate of 6 X 1011 polyhedral inclusion bodies (PIB)/ha in the field to determine the effects of larval age and temperature on nuclear polyhedrosis virus (PiNPV)-induced mortality of Pseudoplusia includens (Chrysodeixis includens). A significant interaction between age of the larva and temperature for PiNPV-induced mortality was not detected.
