Influence of milk- and grain-based creep feed formulations on feed intake and weight gain of suckling lambs to be weaned at 28 days of age

Influence of milk- and grain-based creep feed formulations on feed intake and weight gain of suckling lambs to be weaned at 28 days of age

Sheep Research Journal 8(3): 106-111

In trials 1 and 2, lambs were fed on a pelleted milk-based (MB) or a grain-based (GB) creep feed to 28 days old. In trial 1 lambs fed on MB were changed to GB creep from 28 to 35 days old. At 35 days old both groups were fed on a grain-based lamb grower (LG) creep until 56 days old when both treatment groups were weaned. Trial 2 was a duplicate of trial 1 except that MB-creep-fed lambs were not changed to GB from day 28 to 35.
