Integrated System for the Management of Pollution associated with Agricultural Activity (ISMAP) - a EUREKA project to help management on the scale of a hydrogeographic basin
The 4 main goals of the EUREKA-ISMAP project - the conception of new operational environmental monitoring methodology; the development of reliable, standardized and automated methods for the identification, measurement and analysis of water pollutants; the development of an integrated control and information tool (computerized hydrological decision-support system) that is easily accessible and allows transmission, validation and analyses of environmental data; and the optimization of treatment technologies for contaminated water - are discussed. The organizations and commercial companies involved in this project are listed, and the technical and commercial objectives that it is hoped will be achieved are also outlined.
