The Behring Werke intradermal test was applied to 221 cattle at the Clinic for Ruminants of the Free University of Berlin. 40 were positive at 48 h, but by 72 h 5 had become doubtful and one negative. Of the 149 negative at 48 h, 10 had become doubtful and 3 positive by 72 h. 34 positive and 24 negative cattle possessed BHV-1 antibody detectable by ELISA.
