Intrinsic rates of increase and interspecific relationships between Cotesia orientalis, Cotesia diurnii and Diadegma tarichoptilus (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae), the larval parasitoids of Exelastis atomosa

, : Intrinsic rates of increase and interspecific relationships between Cotesia orientalis, Cotesia diurnii and Diadegma tarichoptilus (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae), the larval parasitoids of Exelastis atomosa. Advances in parasitic Hymenoptera research: Proceedings of the II Conference on the Taxonomy and Biology of Parasitic Hymenoptera: recd 1993; 383-387

The intrinsic rates of increase of the braconids Cotesia orientalis and C. diurnii and the ichneumonid Diadegma trichoptilus, parasitoids of Exelastis atomosa, were determined in the laboratory at 24 degrees C and 55-60% RH. The intrinsic rates of increase were 0.188, 0.158 and 0.149, resp., and the populations multiplied by 41.93, 25.99 and 25.63 times in mean generation times of 19.87, 20.61 and 21.77 days.
