, : Introduction and evaluation of forages in Santana do Araguaia, Para. Boletim de Pesquisa Centro de Pesquisa Agropecuaria do Tropico Umido ( 115): 21 pp.

Studies were carried out in Para, Brazil, in 1977-79 to evaluate the suitability for the area of 20 grasses and 15 forage legumes, grown with 0 or 50 kg/ha P2O5. The soil was a high-acidity low-fertility yellow latosol (Oxisol) and the climate was rainy tropical (Koppen classification) with 1900 mm average annual rainfall, average temperature 25 degrees C and 80% RH.
