, : Introduction of Paulownia in Pakistan. Pakistan Journal of Forestry 39(4): 171-176

An account of results achieved in a project to introduce Paulownia species to Pakistan, financed by IDRC, Canada, and carried out at the Pakistan Forest Institute, with seed obtained from the Chinese Academy of Forestry in 1989. The uses of the wood are outlined, and the useful characteristics of the species noted, viz. its rooting ability, tolerance of rocky, disturbed and infertile soils, and suitability for intercropping and shelterbelts.
