Cuttings of 57 clones of poplar (mainly of Populus deltoides, including P. 'Peroria' ('9/54') and P. 'Lincola' ('1/56'), and also of P. nigra, P. jaqueomontii and P. euramericana (including P. 'Robusta')) obtained from the Forest Research Institute at Dehra Dun in 1982, were planted in March in nursery beds of Van Vigyan Chessa, Arunachal Pradesh, at a spacing of 20x50 cm.
