Inventory of the condition of Austrian forest soils. Results. Forest soil report. Volume 2

, : Inventory of the condition of Austrian forest soils. Results. Forest soil report. Volume 2. Mitteilungen der Forstlichen Bundesversuchsanstalt Wien ( 168/II): 145-247

Vol. 2 contains details of the heavy metals, ecological analyses of the vegetation and an overall summary and outlook. In general, base saturation, acidification status and mineral nutrient supply are adequate. However, there are indications of widespread secondary acidification processes and soil degradation. No toxic concentrations of heavy metals were found, although some accumulations of Pb and Cd were observed in the topsoil.
