Investigation into the role of goats and sheep in the epidemiology of foot-and-mouth disease in Northern Thailand

, : Investigation into the role of goats and sheep in the epidemiology of foot-and-mouth disease in Northern Thailand. Thai Journal of Veterinary Medicine 22(4): 217-231

Investigations were carried out to determine whether goats and sheep were involved in the endemic cycle of foot-and-mouth disease in northern Thailand. Evidence was obtained from serological surveys of 6 farms in the Chiangmai and 6 in the Chiangrai province, and an outbreak investigation in Chiangmai. Serological data on surveyed flock was obtained during 1991-92 using the virus neutralization test and the virus infection associated antigen agar gel diffusion test.
