Investigation of dryinids of rice planthoppers in Sinan County, Guizhou, China

In 1984-86, dryinids parasitizing delphacids were studied in rice fields in Sinan, Guizhou, China. There were 6 species, with Haplogonatopus japonicus H. atratus and Pseudongonatopus flavifemur accounting for 36.5, 48.2 and 10.8% of the total parasitism, resp. Female dryinids laid only 1 egg/host at a time, but multiple parasitism was observed. In addition to parasitism, H. japonicus parasitized 74 delphacids in a 12-day period.
