Investigation of energy exchange in a model experiment in sows, and verification for humans
Results on thermogenesis for different meal frequencies as well as for a high-fat diet are reported. The experiments were made on sows as animal models and were directly repeated on man for verification. Temporal distribution of energy supply was without effect on heat production and energy utilization. Diets that were extremely rich in fat were utilized in the same way as a mixed diet.
