Investigation of lectin induced agglutination kinetics in Candida yeast strains

Dermatologische Monatsschrift 177(5): 289-294
Investigation of lectin induced agglutination kinetics in Candida yeast strains
A method for the differentiation of yeast strains based on the kinetics of lectin-induced agglutination is presented. After addition of Con A, PSA and LCA to suspended cells of Candida albicans, C. parapsilosis, C. krusei and C. guilliermondii, the strains showed strain specific kinetics of agglutination.
