Investigation of nutrition in day nurseries. The daily supply is good but children often do not eat enough

, : Investigation of nutrition in day nurseries. The daily supply is good but children often do not eat enough. Var foda 45(1/2): 24-29

Investigation of the nutrition of children in day care has shown that the food prepared and served in nurseries is of good quality. However it cannot cover the entire requirement of the children in respect of a number of essential nutrients. It is concluded that children should be given about half of their nutritional requirement in the home. Recommendations concerning energy requirement and distribution over the daily consumption are presented for adults and children over the age of 3 years.
