, : Investigation of snow-fall damage for the plastic film houses in the east coastal area of Kangwon Province. Research Reports of the Rural Development Administration, Horticulture 34(1): 76-80

The effect of wind speed and snowfall accumulation on 3 types of plastic greenhouse were studied between June 1987 and Feb. 1990. Wind damage was only slight on the standard plastic greenhouse on 2 occasions but no damage was observed on the special house built to resist wind and snow. Heavy snow in Feb. 1990 caused the semicircular plastic house ( phi 25 mm, pipe interval 80 cm) to collapse at an accumulated snow depth of 73.6 cm.
